Is there a monthly subscription?
No. Once you purchase PillDrill, it’s yours for good. There are no hidden charges or ongoing fees.
Do I need anything technical in my home to use PillDrill?
There are only two requirements to use PillDrill: an electrical outlet and Wi-Fi.
Do I have to own a smartphone?
No. The app provides the fullest experience, but a smartphone is not required to use PillDrill - especially for those less comfortable with technology. We have designed PillDrill so that anyone can use it, regardless of age or technological aptitude.
What platforms does the app support?
The PillDrill app supports both Android and iOS. You can also log in from this website if your version is not supported.
What's the difference between using PillDrill for individual and family use?
The basic difference is the type of in-app notifications you get. If you use PillDrill to manage a loved one’s routine, you will get status updates (e.g. “Mom just scanned her morning dose”, “Mom is feeling Good”) so you can stay in the loop throughout the day. If you use PillDrill to manage your own routine, you will get reminders (e.g. “Insulin is due now.”, “You are an hour late to take Lisinopril”). You can also log doses directly through the app instead of using the Hub.
I take medication at different times of day. Will PillDrill work for me?
Yes, you have complete control over your schedule and can precisely customize the schedule and reminder of each medication.
Can I use PillDrill when I travel?
The Hub is designed specifically for in-home use. If you’re traveling for an extended period of time, we recommend taking the Hub with you and re-connecting it to a different wi-fi network at your new location. If you’re traveling for a short period of time only, however, we recommend using the app to track your medication instead of the Hub. The Hub can travel but it’s not meant for portable use.
How many people can receive notifications for a given user?
It’s unlimited. You can invite as many people as you want to receive notifications for a given user.
Can two people use the same PillDrill?
No. PillDrill is currently designed for use by one person only.
